William Max Bates

William Max Bates passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his home in Altamont, Tennessee. Mr. Bates was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee to his parents Frank and Leona Bates, both deceased. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children: Megan Holder Morgan of Manchester, TN, Scott Bates of Tullahoma, TN and Sheila Sanders of Sarasota, FL; brother: Garland Bates Dale of Shelbyville, TN and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Bates enjoyed painting, singing and playing his many musical instruments. He retired from the Church by the Sea in Madeira Beach, Florida and was a member of the VFW Post 4256.
