William (Bill) Brown Crowder

William Brown (Bill) Crowder, age 88 died April 16,2016, born June 12, 1927. Preceded in death by his parents, Delores Riddick Crowder and Eugene Rhodes Crowder.

Bill attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he played trombone in the Knoxville symphony and a dance band. He had a life-long love of music, art and an unswerving devotion to UT football and the Democratic Party. He had a 31-year career at the United Methodist Publishing House and worked at United Methodist Communications until his retirement. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

Survived by his wife, Lassie McDonald Crowder, daughter, Leslie M. Crowder (Stuart Merrill); and son William Drew Crowder; grandchildren, Lyle and Will Merrill, Jed and Rowan Crowder; sister, Jeanne Crowder Rowley, Nashville; and brother, Larry H. Crowder, Pensacola, Florida.

No services are planned at this time.
