Tonya Leyh Wheeler

Tonya Leyh Wheeler passed on November 18, 2019 at her home in Nashville.

Tonya was born on June 2, 1965 to the late Terry Wayne Cathey and Mary Linda Thomas Townes in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was a beautiful woman with a heart for animals, especially dogs. She worked as a dog groomer before she became disabled. She loved to write and composed many books though they were not published. She was of the Baptist faith and often spoke of Jesus.

Tonya is survived by her daughter: Brittany Chapman (Richard Cummings, Jr.) of Shelbyville, Tennessee; son: Brandon (Stephanie) Odom of Boyne City, Michigan; grandsons: William Chapman, Jaxson Odom, and Elijah Odom; granddaughters: Savannah May Cummings, Haeli Elizabeth Lemmon, and Ella Cooper; and a sister: Terrilyn (Ronald Joe) Rader.

A private service will be planned at a later date.
