She earned a PhD in Social Work after her children were grown and dedicated her later life to helping victims of domestic violence, establishing Financial Resources for Women and Children, Inc.. The family would like to express deep gratitude for the tender and excellent care she received to Drs. Ian Flinn, John Greer, Anderson Spickard III, Stokes Peebles . A private service will be held. Memorials may be made to FRWC.org or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
