Obituary
Sheryl Jaynes Andrews, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away after a long battle with lymphoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Florine Jaynes. Sheryl is survived by her children Hal Stacey Andrews, Julie Jim Knestrick, Kelly Kurt Andrews, and Booth Kurt Kammann; her sister, Gloria Rankin; her brother, Al Era Jaynes; thirteen grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and the dearest of friends. Sheryl celebrated life and was passionate about making the most of each day, living each day as if it would be her last. Whether exploring the exquisite food and wines of Italy, cooking a gourmet meal at home, or sitting by the ocean on her beloved Martha’s Vineyard, she soaked up the beauty life had to offer and shared it with her family and friends. She earned a PhD in Social Work after her children were grown and dedicated her later life to helping victims of domestic violence, establishing Financial Resources for Women and Children, Inc.. The family would like to express deep gratitude for the tender and excellent care she received to Drs. Ian Flinn, John Greer, Anderson Spickard III, Stokes Peebles . A private service will be held. Memorials may be made to FRWC.org or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with the arrangements.
