Obituary
Sherry Kay “Flame” Susong, age 71, of McMinnville, passed away on May 3, 2018 at her residence.
She was named “Flame” by the Cherokee nation, being a full blooded Cherokee. Many came to know her by this name during the course of her life. She was born on September 16, 1946 to Harold Wayne and Ola Mae Jones Mitchell, in Greeneville, Tennessee. She worked as the office manager in the family business.
Flame was a loving mother to her two children: Regina Ann Butter and Christopher Lee Susong; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and brother: Harold Wayne “Skip” Mitchell.
