Shawn
Holt
Aug 7, 1968 — Jul 1, 2026
Michael Shawn Holt, affectionately known to everyone as Shawn, passed away on July 1, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center. He was 57 years old.
Born on August 7, 1968, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Shawn was the son of the late Jerry Holt and Stella Hardy.
Shawn was a simple man who found his greatest joy in the people he loved. He never met a stranger, greeting everyone with kindness, warmth, and a smile that could brighten any room. He had a genuine love for life and was truly a ray of sunshine to all who knew him. Whether spending time with family or sharing conversations with friends, Shawn had a remarkable way of making others feel welcome and valued.
Shawn had a passion for music and could always appreciate a good song. He enjoyed spending time on the water fishing and had a special love for hot rods. While he enjoyed these hobbies, nothing compared to the love he had for his family. Shawn often said that his wife, Crystal, was his hero, and to their daughter, Brittany, he was hers. The love they shared was the foundation of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with those closest to him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Crystal Holt; daughter, Brittany (Justin Estes) Holt; son, Brandon Walker; stepchildren, Samantha Schafer, Ian Gulley, and Brandon Gulley; and his beloved grandchildren, Kali, Westen, Rhipp, and Hallie.
A celebration of Shawn's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Working Dogs for Vets in Shawn's honor.
Shawn's kind heart, infectious spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his presence will be greatly missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
