Obituary
Russell Rogers “Russ” Cochran, age 70 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville, TN. Russ was a native of New London, CT and son of the late Russell Rogers and Janet Taft Cochran. He served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic. He served the community of Milford, CT as a firefighter with the Milford Fire Department until his retirement. He married Catherine Margaret Braden on Sept. 29, 1962 in New Haven, CT. They recently gathered with family to celebrate their 48th anniversary. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Catherine Margaret York of Springfield, TN and Sarah Ann Cochran of Mt. Juliet, TN; two sisters: Sandra Nafis and Nadine Baldetti both of FL; a brother: Michael Cochran of CT; and four grandchildren: Sam York, Lauren Cochran, Braden York, and Sydney York. The family will privately celebrate Russ’ life and request friends do the same.
