Robert Lee Ward, Jr.

Robert Lee Bobby Ward, Jr. age 77, died April 3, 2013 at his home in Knoxville, TN. He was born in Woodbury and was raised in Lebanon, Tennessee. Bobby is survived by his children, a son, Steve Anderson Ward and his wife, Laura Gammon Ward, and a daughter, Peggy Ann Ward. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Ward, Sr., and his mother, Naomi Finley Ward, and two brothers, Clyde and Fred. Bobby graduated from the Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville, TN in 1956 and then went on to Nashville State Community college and majored in computer technology. He is a retiree of Service Merchandise Corporation and was an active member of the Tennessee Association for the Deaf and a member of the Church of Christ. Bobby will be remembered for his ready smile and a hearty “Hello” by all he met. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Hermitage Church of Christ Deaf Chapel with Mike Helms officiating the services. Visitation with his family will be Monday morning from 10 am until Noon and then again from 1 pm until the service time at the church.
