Richard “Ric” Papaleo. Antioch, TN: Age 62, died suddenly Nov. 3, 2012. Born on July 18, 1950 in Rochester, NY; the son of Antoinette Barbera-Papaleo and the late Dominic Papaleo. An avid boater, outdoorsman, contractor and of the Catholic Faith, Ric recently relocated to Smyrna, TN from Rochester, NY. Ric served his country in the United States Army serving two tours of duty in Vietnam; and as an Orleans Cnty NY Mounted Sheriff. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars one with Valor and Good Conduct Medal. Survived by his wife Cindy Furguson Papaleo; children Michelle Doug Armstrong, Renee Papaleo; granddaughters Alexa and Kylie Armstrong; step children Christine, Jon, Mike Schneider; many aunts, uncles and cousins including close relatives, Uncle George and Cousin Tommy Barbera. A service will be held Friday, Nov 9, 2012 at 10am at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 10682 Old Nashville Hwy, Smyrna, TN 37167. Service to be held in Rochester, NY within the coming weeks.
