Quincy Poe's Obituary

Quincy Blake Poe, age 22 passed away on November 25, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on January 31, 2003, in Milton, Florida to Adam Poe and Melissa Evans Poe.

Quincy was known for his incredible and curious mind paired with a natural sense of humor that kept those around him smiling and laughing. He loved to joke and had a quick wit that made conversations with him memorable. Quincy enjoyed tinkering and working on things, was always curious about how things functioned and eager to learn more. This hands-on curiosity served him well when he began his career in inventory control after moving back to Nashville. He needed to learn Excel so he taught himself, in one evening, how to utilize Excel- complete with analytical functions. His mind was always seeking ways to improve processes.

He had a deep love and tremendous patience for dogs, especially pit bulls and took great pride in training them. Beyond his passion for training pit bulls, Quincy also found joy in lifting weights during his school years in Florida, cherishing both the activity and the memories made there.

He lived in Tennessee for several years, and his favorite comfort food was his grandma’s spaghetti. He always remembered the rich tomato sauce and the warmth of his grandma’s kitchen, where laughter filled the air. During his recovery in the hospital last winter, he longed for the familiar flavors that reminded him of happier times at grandma’s house.

More than anything else, Quincy’s favorite place was at work alongside his father. They worked together building and growing the Handiman, Inc. business. The bond they shared was special and meaningful, built on time spent together and mutual respect. As his father, Adam, shared,” Quincy could always make me laugh, even on the toughest days.” Quincy and his father were inseparable.

Quincy is survived by father, Adam Poe, (Anna Hofer); his siblings, Zackary Adam Poe (25), Xander Evans Poe (20), and Lexie Hofer (16); grandmother, Jaki Evans, aunt and uncle, Melinda and Sydney Hollington, aunt, Kelly Poe, and step-grandmother Pam Poe. His grandfathers, Gary Poe and Butch Evans, as well as his great-grandparents, Olive Poe and Jesse Poe, passed away before him.

Everyone who experienced Quincy’s vibrant spirit, wit, and resolve continues to feel his absence. His intelligence, energy, and kind spirit will forever be remembered. He is at peace with our Lord and God.
