Obituary

Phyllis Marlene Eversole, age 71, resident of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her residence. Phyllis was born on October 18, 1939 in Zanesville, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Maston VanDyne. Phyllis received an Associate of Arts Degree in Social Work from Salvation Army College. She showed her love for others in social work as a day care provider through the Department of Social Services in Ohio. Phyllis was of the Church of God faith. She is survived by a son, William “Bill” Jones of Bard, California; a daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Roesch of Hamilton, Ohio; siblings: Vickie Shaw of Franklin, TN and Sandra of Zanesville, Ohio, James VanDyne of Jacksonville, NC, William VanDyne of Zanesville, OH, Eugene Thornsley of Coshocton, OH, and Jackie Cox of Coshocton, OH; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the Eversole Family with the arrangements.

  3. Hard to believe that you entered our family’s life 50 years ago,when my big brother Bill told us he was going to marry the Lt. Not only her marry the LT. but he brought us a new sister and another daughter. You held such a special place in our hearts as you helped us through so many crisis…You will always be missed my big sister and have a special place in my heart…I can just hear Bill yelling at you right now, Marlene…this time you can run to him and embrace for ever..hug him for me and kiss mom for me..love you sister.
