Obituary

Mr. Otto Birk, age 73 of Crossville, TN, died Frday, April 29 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr.Birk was the son of the late Petar and Rozina Kneisler Birk, a self-employed Painter, and a devoted Chicago Bears and Whitesox fan. He was a Horse Trainer for many years, and a Mentor and Baseball Coach of many. By far, he was the Best Friend, Greatest Dad and Grandpa ever. He is survived by his daughter: Ann Marie William Castro Birk-Castro of San Jose, CA; three sons: Peter Deborah Birk of Manteca, CA, Donald Michelle Birk of Oakley, CA, and Phillip Birk of Manteca, CA; a sister: Sylvia Birk Novak of Sterling Heights, MI; nephew: Walter Sidocewicz and nine grandchildren: Ryan Birk, Darrin Birk, Lindsay Birk, Marissa Castro, Tommy Birk, Brandon Birk, Madyson Birk, Zachary Birk, and Dylan Castro. In addition, he is survived by his partner and friend: Teena Bohrer of Crossville, TN. The family will celebrate Otto’s life at a later date in California. The Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.

  1. Otto….You will be missed so much… Its been many years since you would grab my ear and crack a joke….. Watching you coach my brother in Baseball, Being a father to my other Sister and a great group of amazing sons. But most of all being the hard working driven man that you were will forever stay within me throughout the rest of my days… Rest in Peace
