Norma Vanvalkenburg

Mrs. Norma VanValkenburg, age 89, of McMinnville, passed away at her home on Monday, November 4, 2013, surrounded by her devoted family. Norma was born August 20, 1924 in Oriskany Falls, New York, the daughter of the late Teale Woolman and Helen Roberts Woolman. She was the wife of the late Jack VanValkenburg who preceded her in death in 1984. Norma was a homemaker who loved going to auctions and yard sales. Survivors include her children, Margaret Richard Burdick of Clinton, NY, Robert Taylor of TN, John Taylor of Syracuse, NY, Teena Connell of IN, William VanValkenburg of Frankfort, NY, Nancy Hobbs of Crossville, Norma Lorentzen of McMinnville, Debra Richard Evans of Clinton, NY and Paul VanValkenburg of McMinnville;a daughter-in-law, Lynnette VanValkenburg of Utica, NY; a special grandson, Zack Lorentzen of McMinnville along with several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jack Christopher VanValkenburg and a grandson Troy VanValkenburg. A memorial service will be held later at the Memorial Chapel Outreach on Starlight Road in McMinnville.
