Paul LeVern Jumisco passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on December 25, 2020, at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, TN. Paul was born on December 18, 1931, in Detroit, MI to Harold and Vera Jumisco.
After graduating from Lincoln High School in Ferndale, MI, he attended Lawrence Technological University (Lawrence Tech) in Southfield, MI majoring in mechanical engineering. After college, Paul was a dedicated 32-year employee of the Oakland County Department of Public Works.
Throughout Paul’s adult life he had a passion for cars (especially VWs and Fords), travel, and photography. He visited many countries around the world (always with a camera at hand). He said, however, that his favorite trip was driving a car throughout the countryside of England and visiting historic sites.
Upon his retirement he moved to Murfreesboro, TN in 1997 to be near Nashville. Since he was a fan of country music (especially Eddie Arnold) and Paul being an accomplished steel guitar player, his new home was a perfect fit. He acquired a dog named “Lucy” through “dog rescue” who was his constant companion for many years. Together, they enjoyed endless daily walks.
Paul is preceded in death by his younger brother, Harold. He is survived by his sister Norma (Hank); niece, Lynn (Dan); nephew, Hank, Jr. (Liping); friends, and cousins across the country.
Paul’s wry smile, dry sense of humor, often coming up with witty observations, and his generous spirit was his endearing traits that will be missed by all.
