Obituary

Michael Christopher Thomsett, 31 March, 1948 – 25 April, 2021, died peacefully surrounded by family and close friends.

He is survived by his wife: LuLu; sons: Michael-Paul Thomsett and Eric Thomsett; daughter-in-law: Ilana Thomsett; and granddaughters: Brianna and Olivia Thomset; as well as two sisters, nieces, and nephews.

In his lifetime, Michael played many parts: author, actor, composer, musician, husband, and father, part-time poet, limerist, teacher, and trivia enthusiast. At one time, he almost joined the circus and still practiced his clown schtick on a daily basis.

He will be remembered by everyone who knew him. In life, he underestimated the impact he had on the lives of others. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed…as well as all of his puns.
No celebrations are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to https://fightec.org/about-ecef/ – Esophageal Cancer Education Foundation in Michael’s name will be greatly appreciated.

Rest in power “my Aries Genius”…. Your puns, jokes, and limericks are all “new material” in the afterlife. May they be enjoyed for infinity.

  1. I am so very sorry to learn that my dear friend, Michael Christopher Thomsett, has passed away. We were both in the class of 1966 at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. We were always happy to talk to each other over the years, and had fun reminiscing about our school memories and antics, and catching up about what’s been happening since then!! The last time we talked was on February 2, 2015, after I watched the episode “Failed Assassination of Hitler” on the tv series “Mysteries at the Castle”. I was delighted to see his smiling face – he was the narrator!!!! We spent 45 minutes catching up and it was wonderful!!! Michael we will all miss you, and we love you. I’m sure you are sharing your humor and wit with whoever you come into contact with, wherever you are!!! God bless you honey. Aloha from Rhonda (Smith) McCormick, Honolulu, Hawaii
