Mavis A. Chessor

Mrs. Mavis A. Chessor, age 87 of Centerville, TN, died Thursday, April 23 at Hickman Community Hospital in Centerville. Mrs. Chessor was the daughter of the late Ollie Bentley and Birdie May Ayers Qualls and was a nurse’s aide. Her faith was expressed as a witness of Jehovah. She is survived by eight children: Larry Wayne Chandler of Pleasantville, TN, Rosa Lee Kucsera of Brighton, MI, Jo Ann Jackson of Warren, OH, Samantha Kay Davis of Courtland, OH, Kathy Sue Dye of Haleyville, AL, Buster Dale McGough of Centerville, TN, Janet Marie Peay of Centerville, TN, and Dennis Keith McGough of Centerville, TN; nine siblings: Ollie, Calvin, Fay, Lawrence, Wanda, Steven, Shirley, Barbara and John; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Elvis, Floyd, and Doyle Qualls. The family will celebrate Mrs. Chessor’s life on Friday, April 29 at 1:00 PM in the Beechgrove Cemetery at Pleasantville, TN. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Tennessee.
