Mary Eleanor Tate Korous

Mary Eleanor Tate Korous, age 79, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Monday, November 22, 2021, in Hillsboro, Tennessee.

Mary was born on November 28, 1941, to the late Ralph and Eleanor Atkinson Tate in Clinton, Iowa.

Mary was a woman that enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer. She loved to bask in the beautiful landscapes of nature, enjoying a piping hot cup of coffee and savoring a long draw of her cigarette as she sat on her front porch in bliss. Those little pleasures are what brought Mary joy. When she wasn’t outside admiring Earth’s creations, she would be entertained by the endless seasons of her favorite soap operas, like Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, and Lifetime movies. Above all, Mary adored her family and cherished her time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her sister: Patricia Fairbanks.

Mary was survived by her son: Steve (Sue) Korous; grandchildren: Kristen, Amanda, Ben; great-grandchildren: Carter and Kendall; sister: Barb Cooley; and a world of nieces and nephews.
