I have had the honor to know and love my mother-n-law Mary for over 30 years and have lived near or with her for 18 of those years. She was passionate about her family and extremely generous to us all. She told me many stories about her growing up in South America and about many of the family members I have not ever had opportunity to meet. She and I have shared many meals together, enjoyed movies, walks, and drives together. We have watched the grandchildren grow up together and encouraged each other. I love her very much and will always be grateful to God for her being a part of my life.

I met Mary in 1969. She has had a lasting impression on my life over all these years. I have many fond memories of her’s and Grandma Eunice’s stories of the tin mines in Chili. I was privileged to know her brother Jim, and her sister Anita, as well as several of her nieces. Mary, Tia Anita and Grandma Eunice would sit and knit, all the while talking and talking never dropping a stitch! I always maintained that Mary should write a book about her life! It’s up to you now, Dave. Mary was a kind and loving woman and was always a “Lady” in my eyes. Even now I can hear her charming accent in my head. My sincerest, and heartfelt condolences to her sons, Jim and David, and to the rest of her family. May I send personal sympathy out to Melanie and Erika, as well as Kelsee, Kayla, & Jacob. I know your hearts are breaking. Grandma Mary will always be thought of with much affection. I will never forget you Mary! With much respect and love, Sandie.
