Obituary

Marlene Ann Rogers, age 76 of Columbia, TN, died Sunday evening in Maury Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Ithaca, NY and daughter of the late Carl and Eleanor Fulkerson Hinger, and of the Catholic Faith. Mrs. Rogers is survived by four daughters: Darlene Withrow of Columbia, TN, Debi Meadows of Thompson Station, TN, Rosey Fitchpatrick-Brill of Choctaw, OK, and Roxanne Fitchpatrick-King of Franklin, TN; 3 sisters: Nancy Hare of Ithaca, NY, Sherry Wray of North Carolina, and Suzanne Buck of Sun City Center, FL. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Bradley J. Shires, Brent M. Shires, Jennifer Munk, Zac Meadows, and J. J. King; 2 great-grandchildren: Tristan Shires and Aidan Shires; 3 step-granchildren: Wendy Shires, Heath Shires, Lindsey Withrow; and 5 step-great-grandchildren: Jessica Leary, Emily Leary, Kaeli Shires, Destiny Withrow and Jonah Hightower. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Rita Jo Fitchpatrick, and a grandson: Colton Brill. A celebration of her life will be conducted Friday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 AM from the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Spring Hill. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Marlene Rogers Trust Fund, c/o SunTrust Bank, 4929 Main St, Spring Hill, TN 37174, or the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

  1. Our prayers, love, and sympathy is with all you 4 girls at this very sad and trying time. I shall never forget your moms 70th b.day and meeting all you girls. Cousin Marlene has a wonderful family. Bless you all. Find peace with each other and joy in sharing your wonderful memories that you all have made through the years w/ your precious mom.     Darlene, Debi, Rosey & Roxanne, It has been quite a few years since I saw Aunt Marlene. The last time she came for a visit to Rochester, she came to a family luau picnic and we had a great time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
