Lucas nació el 20 de Marzo de 1920 en San Pedro de Marcorís en la República Dominicana. Aunque falleció el 16 de Agosto del 2009, en Columbia Tennessee USA, su esperanza y la de su familia, basada en lo que dice la palabra de Dios, la biblia; es que un dia volverá a vivir y entonces vivirá una vida eterna y tendrá el placer de ver la tierra convertida en un paraíso donde el nombre de Dios será santificado y su soberania vindicada por toda la eternidad como nos muestra Job 14:15 y Rev 21:3, 4. Él era el hijo de Pedro Álvarez carpintero fallecido y Tomasina Araujo y de los Testigos del Jehova. Le sobreviven su esposa: Victoria Denton Araujo de Colombia, TN; dos hijas: Marta Camejo de Colombia, TN y Francia Mercado de Madison, TN; un hijo: Rafael Araujo de Miami, FL; 9 nietos y 17 bisnietos. El servicio funeral será el sábado en 3:00 de la tarde en el Salón del Reino de los Testigos del Jehová en Murfreesboro, TN. ****************************
Lucas was born March 20, 1920 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Even at the time of his death the 16th of August 2009, in Columbia Tennessee, USA, his faith and that of his family based in God’s word, the bible, is that one day he will come back from his resting palce and live forever, where he will have the privilege of helping turn the earth into a paradise in which Jehovah’s name will be sanctified for eternity as it states in Job 14:15 and Rev 21:3, 4. He was the son of the late Pedro Alvarez and Tomasina Araujo, a carpenter, and of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is survived by his wife: Victoria Denton Araujo of Columbia, TN; two daughters: Marta Camejo of Columbia, TN and Francia Mercado of Madison, TN; a son: Rafael Araujo of Miami, FL; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Murfreesboro, TN.
