Lois Ruth Jones

Mrs. Lois Ruth Curtis Jones, age 63, resident of Old Florence Road in Lawrenceburg, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at her residence. Lois was born on March 31, 1948 in Knoxville and was the daughter of the late Charles and Trula Ramsey Curtis. She was the wife of the late James Calvin Jones. She was retired from Excel in Lawrenceburg after 18 years of service. Lois was of the Baptist Faith. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Lois is survived by her daughter, Lisa R. Matthews and her partner, Denise Fourman of Chapmansboro, TN; her son, Cory Jones and his wife Susan of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren, Cody Jones, Chelsey Jones, James Jones, Sam Woods, Logan Woods, Keanu Tubbs, Ashley Mattingly, Kyler Hill and Kailey Hill; two great-granddaughters, Alex Jones and Tori Mattingly; two sisters, Evelyn Hurst of Knoxville and Kathy Lentz of Powell, TN; and her brother, Charles Curtis of Johnson City. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Rhonda Jones Hill and a sister, Charlotte Hollis. Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the Jones Family with the arrangements.
