I was talking about you with my friend and it caused me to look up when you had passed. When I saw it was in 2013 I could hardly believe it. You death affected me so profoundly. I was so prepared for it I didn’t cry until 6 months later when I prepared a family dish. The smell reminded me of my entire childhood. I wept uncontrollably for 30 minutes. When I merge from that shower I felt like I had metamorphosized into a complete adult. That that much uncontrolled grief chemically changed my body. I remember you crying next to me in a similar fashion when your father had died. We were laying in the water bed on Dusty Lane, in that trailer that I’ll always consider my home. You were world weary. The traumatic death of my father along with your sickness that lasted a third of your life had worn down your will to live. The passion to live versus World weariness. The fires of passion versus World weirdness. Fire versus World weary. Eventually that fire will wane in us all. I miss you mama. I love you still and not day goes by where I don’t think of you. In hope that I one day will see you again, your only son, Raymond.
