Lila Beech Walker Wright

Lila Beech Walker Wright, daughter of the late Farris Walker and Sue Sullivan Walker, born March 3, 1929, at Vanderbilt Hospital, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Heartland Nursing Home in Donelson after a long illness. Her former husband, Harold Bell Wright, preceded her in death in 2007.

She was preceded in death by son, Clifford Lewis Wright; brother, Randall Barry Walker; sister, Rita Walker Weiland.

Survived by sister, Ruth Walker Beasley; brothers, William (Peggy) Walker and F.E. (Sue) Walker; daughters, Eloise Wright (Paul A.) Viera and Glenda Sue Wright; sons, Rev. Phillip Barry (Cathy) Wright and Michael Allen (Becca) Wright; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from West End High School and attended Tennessee Tech University. She was the administrative assistant at The Patton Company in Donelson.

She was an active member of the APTA, UDC, and DAR. She was a tremendous student of history, specializing in the history of Nashville. Her passions centered around The Buchanan Log House where she worked tirelessly toward its restoration and created treasured family heirlooms as a member of the quilting club. Donate to the Buchanan Log House, 2910 Elm Hill Pike, Donelson, TN in lieu of flowers.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.,Saturday, August 1,followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at White House First United Methodist Church,3403 Hwy. 31W, White House, TN.
