Red was one of my best friends. I was persistant in getting him found when I didn’t hear from in several weeks. It tore my heart out the condition he was found in. May God’s love be with his family that I have gotten to know and enjoy talking with them. Love Wild Bill

My deepest sympathy goes out to Connie and the girls. I have always kept you in my heart all these years and always will. Doug had found him a home in Tenn and am sure he was the happiest he had even been. He has the finest home now in Heaven with his past family and one day we all will. We are left here to grieve but also will reflect on the good times we had with Doug. Prayers and faith will keep us going. God keep you strong. Love, Roger

I knew Red through our mutual friend Billy Ray Jones. I didn’t know him really well, but liked him just the same. If it means anything to his family, I can be reached at 865748-1474. All of his worldly possessions seem to still be in tact in his camp where he lived his last moments. Contact me if you would like to see where he lived or to collect his few belongings. Best wishes, & Respectfully Edward C. Meyer

I remember Doug from my childhood. Julie is just like a sister to me,we both envied Doug at times for his free will and with his adventurous life. It breaks my heart for and her family that his leaving was at the hands of someone so vile. But now he is the hands of God! Julie, may God keep you and your family close in your time of need and always….love you!
