Karen Smith

Karen Smith, age 61, of Fairview, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 13, at her residence surrounded by her devoted family. Karen was born February 23, 1952, in Madison, GA, the daughter of Mrs. Mary Herndon of Decatur, GA, and the late William Smith. Karen was a Veteran of the United States Navy and worked in administration with the United States Postal Service. She was a member of World Changers. Survivors in addition to her mother include her children, Prima Lowman and Mary Charleston of TN and Maurice Charleston of Buford, GA; two brothers, Homer Herndon of Decatur, GA and Lawrence Herndon of North Carolina along with 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Karen’s family is planning a memorial service at a later date in Georgia.
