Jude Foxall, age 87, died on March 3rd, 2023. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA on June 30th, 1935.

He held the record as the youngest boy to achieve the Eagle Scout badge in PA. He attended Geneva College and Pitt University after serving in the United States Air Force. He retired from DuPont where he spent decades working as a chemical engineer. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, model railroading, classical music, playing the banjo, helping people, inventing things, tinkering in his shop, and solving complicated engineering problems.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ingrid; his children: Laura Foxall, Sandy (Stan) Turner, Susan Haymes, Mark Foxall, Beth Caron, Irene (Chuck) Gruter, Curtis (Karen) Untalan, Sylvia Huron, Jason Stallings; grandchildren: Maggie Foxall, Rebekah Haymes, Mariah Turner, Desiree (Ken) Linder, Ian Huron, Ryan Untalan, Erin (Tripp) Shaw, Morgan Gruter, Hunter (Morgan) Gruter; and a great-grandchild, Edie Shaw.

Dad recorded a segment for My Classical Story for NPR and you can listen to it here:

He had about as happy a death as possible. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family. He left this earth on a dad joke, so we know “The Joke That Kills” (Monty Python).

A special thank you to the Ascension Live At Home staff for their caring service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in his honor to your favorite charity that supports Veterans.

A celebration of life for Jude’s friends and family is planned for later in March. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

The care of Mr. Jude A. Foxall and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Cremation Society of Tennessee. To share words of comfort and condolences, please visit www.cremationsocietyoftn.com.
