It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Juan Jose Moraida. Juan passed away peacefully at his home on May 8, 2026, with his daughters by his side.
Juan was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to Eugene and Matiana (Cabriales) Moraida. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Moraida; his brother, Joe Flores; as well as three nephews and one niece.
Juan is survived by his loving children: Felicia Moraida of Smyrna, Tennessee; Danielle Perez-Adams (husband William) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Angel Moraida and her five children of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Christopher Moraida, also of Sierra Vista, Arizona. He is also survived by his sisters: Josie Ortiz and Jessie Ortiz of San Jose, California; Dominga Flores of Stockton, California; and Mary Helen Moraida of Tijeras, New Mexico.
Juan leaves behind a cherished legacy of family, including his grandchildren: Brenton Moraida (wife Savannah), Zailee Moraida, Ayla Adams, Payton Adams, and John Adams; his two great-grandchildren, Sophia Moraida and Allen Moraida; as well as ten nieces, nine nephews, and twenty-five great nieces and nephews.
After graduating high school, Juan proudly enlisted in the United States Army in 1963. He served his country with courage during the Vietnam War in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1966.
A devoted family man, Juan worked tirelessly to provide the best life possible for those he loved. He spent more than 30 years in the semiconductor industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic and deep commitment throughout his career. In retirement, Juan left behind the hustle and bustle of California and made his home in Tennessee, where he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Juan was full of life and deeply loved his family. His love, strength, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of Juan’s life will be held in June 2026, with final date and location to be announced.
