John Wesley Probst

John Wesley Probst, age 53, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at his residence in Cumberland Furnace, TN.
Wesley was born March 16, 1960 to John Franklin and Margaret Ann Probst. He was an avid songwriter and member of the bluegrass community. For many years he performed in the Branson, Missouri area both at Silver Dollar City and at the Shepherd of the Hills. After moving to Nashville he formed the bluegrass band the Overall Brothers and he also worked as a bus driver for many country music stars. He was a friend to everyone. In the last few years of his life whenever he’d meet someone new he’d witness to them by telling them his name, John and the date of his birth 3:16. He was truly one-of-a-kind.
Wesley leaves behind his wife, Debra Adams-Probst, of Cumberland Furnace; Daughter, Rebecca Laurel and son-in-law Joseph and two granddaughters, Savvanah Elisabeth and Charlotte Anne Bollinger of Bella Vista, AR; step-daughter, Amber Rose Applegate of Stockton, CA; step-son Justin Applegate of Stockton, CA; brother, Jacob, Kara and Zachary Probst of Ellington, Connecticut; sister, Rose Probst of Trenton, MO and sister Nichole and Eric Moffitt of Springfield, MO.
