John Mack Capps

John Mack Capps, age 83, died July 2, 2013 after an extended illness at his Hendersonville home. Born in Kuttawa, Kentucky on March 19, 1930 and was raised in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. His adult life began in St. Louis, Missouri after marrying his wife, Pauline Bostick, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They were married for 65 years in June of this year. He will leave behind his devoted wife, Pauline, 5 children, Darline Capps Montgomery, Nolan L. Capps, Roxana Capps Harrison, Andrea J. Capps Gray, John M.N. Capps, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. John had a dream and he lived his dream. He moved to Nashville with his family and opened up an office on Music Row and started K-Ark Record Company, the only independent record label. As a promoter, John helped many an artist fulfill their dreams in the music industry. He had many personal friends, not only in the United States, but over seas as well. To this day, they call for his help and expertise. John’s family wishes to thank all of the families and friends for the food, plants, love and support they’ve received during this difficult time. A special thanks to our dear friend, Billy Joe Burnett, who spent many hours with John over the past year.
