John Dean Bender

Mr. John Dean Bender, age 64 of McMinnville, passed away December 27, 2011 at Raintree Manor. Born September 10, 1947 to Dean Dewitt Bender and Theresa Flynn in Queens, New York. He joined the NAVY, which he served twenty-three years including the Vietnam War. On June 5, 1985 he married Catherine Courtney in Brunswick, Maine, who he shared many memories with until his passing. His giving heart allowed many stray & abused animals into his life that he sheltered and nourished back to good health. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his friends, and the many pets he helped along the way. Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
