Obituary
Jerry served three years in Vietnam. He loved his family, playing golf, riding his Harley and hanging out with old friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Bates and Juanita Burris Cason. He is survived by his sister, Sheryl Karl Evins, uncle John Jan Cason, cousins Bud Gayle Harris and Larry Joelene Harris, nieces Sheri Todd Hutchison and Kim Frank Landrum, nephew Robert Hayes and numerous great-nieces and nephews. The family will have a memorial service August 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Nashville National Cemetery located at 1420 Gallatin Pike South, Madison, TN. 37115. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in his honor to your favorite charity.

I’m sorry. I didn’t know him well, but I well remember him. If anything, we “clashed” in the ninth grade, but it was a fun-loving clash. I was looking forward to seeing him at the reunion.

Sorry to hear about Jerry, we had a lot of fun in high school. Used to go to that drive in his dad ran at night,Rose’s I think, and go to Old Hickory lake. Double dated a lot. A good guy
