Obituary

Jerry Albert Davis, age 59 passed away Wednesday January 11th at Raintree Manor in McMinnville, TN. Jerry was born January 20th of 1952 to the late Roy and Deloris Davis. Jerry served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, stationed in Japan. He spent the majority of his time in the Air Force as The Air Police’s Guard Dog Handler. After leaving the Air Force Jerry lived what has been described as the “Jimmy Buffett life style”, living in and out of the keys, off and on sail boats, bartending, and moving around. Not long before he passed he moved home to the Tennessee area. Jerry leaves behind two brothers: John A. Davis of McMinnville and Roy A. Davis Jr. of McMinnville. One sister, Judy Libey of Spokane WA. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Cremation Society of Tennessee is handling the arrangements for the family.

  1. Over the years I have thought of Jerry and never could find him on-line. I was stationed with him in Japan. I also knew his dog Devil that he handled while he was in the Air Force. Jerry was a good friend and enjoyed his aura very much. Saddened to see he passed at such a young age. My best to his family.
