Growing up together, Mancel was a wonderful cousin to be around. In our family, cousins were almost like siblings, and J.H. and Mancel were the eldest of many cousins; they, and Uncle J.W., were respected “leaders” to the rest of us. He was special and loved. May he rest in peace.

A man who I will always consider my dad. For the years that i was estranged for my dad, this wonderful man, stepped up into those shoes. To this day, I have always loved him and spoke highly of him. I have this beautiful curio shelf he made in the 10th grade as a mothers day gift for his mom. When i found it, it was missing a small piece, he wanted to throw it away, but after i finally talked him into letting me keep it he shared the story of his making it & I treasured it even more. To this day, that shelf has been displayed everywhere I’ve lived. I remember him with love every time I look at it. He will be missed greatly, but I know he is at peace reunited with his beloved wife Sanna. God Bless the whole family, i love you all even all these years later. May God comfort you all during this sad time, praying for all of you. hugs and love,
