Obituary

Hubert Lee Nickels, 98, passed away at his home in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 14, 2020.

Hubert was born on December 17, 1921, in Stonega, Virginia, to his late parents Jess and Ida Nickels. He served our country in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve. Initially, he joined the army when he was just 14, eager to serve his country. Hubert stayed in the Army for a short period and re-entered into the Air Force, where he served for over 25 years. He retired as a WWII Veteran. After retiring, he worked as Head of Maintenance for a Vanderbilt Unversity building entitled the Carmichael Tire. He also worked for the Lee Company for a period of time.

Currently, there are no services pending for Hubert.
Hubert is survived by his daughter, Brenda Clinard of Fairview, Tennessee, his granddaughter, Lea Stevens, and grandson: Brandon Webb.
