Hank, taught me the art of typography, on and old Merganthaler typesetting machine while working in the advertising division at Sebastian’s West. His patience and knowledge influenced my life and helped my career.

My childhood memories are his great smile and sense of humor. A few years ago, he was kind enough to share his poetry. I will always be grateful for that gift. With love from cousin Marjorie

I have many fond memories of my dear Uncle, as a kid having fun with my cousins and later, with his vast print industry knowledge, I will treasure his kind words and signature laugh always. With Love, your Nephew, Mark

Oh, my dear, dear brother. . . we shared so much growing up. Our dad died when he was 3 1/2 and I was yet to be born. We had a wonderful mother who saw that we grew up right. The great depression was on and she had to earn us a living. No aid to dependent children…no nothing. My brother wrote a poem to celebrate my 50th birthday some years ago. It goes like this. Dearest Sister The green of Spring will fade away When Summer’s colors call And they in turn will soon succumb To Autumn’s beck and call And Autumn’s gold and crimson Must surely fade away As the silent pull of Winter Covers the earth with gray But memories … sweet memories .. Will be forever …green.
