Harvey William Clark

Harvey William Clark, a man of genuine faith, courage and perseverance, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, being released from his long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 27, 1932, the son of Harvey Henry Clark and Ethel Claretta Pelz. Mr. Clark was a graduate of Brush High School, Cleveland State University and Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He dedicated his life to the service of his Lord and others as a minister for 43 years. He served Bethel Baptist Church in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin; Northport Drive Baptist Church in Madison, Wisconsin; Trade Lake Baptist Church in Frederic, Wisconsin; Calvary Baptist Church in Avon Lake, Ohio; and North Solon Baptist Church in Solon, Ohio. He is survived by his beautiful wife of fifty years: Helen Joyce Clark of Culleoka, Tennessee; daughters: Joyce Anne and Richard Johnson of Ellison Bay, Wisconsin, Laurel Lynne and Floriano Marchetti of Miami, Florida, and Angela Susan and Guy Penrod of Culleoka, Tennessee; a son: William Lloyd Clark of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; two brothers: Donald and Geraldine Clark of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, and Bruce and Marcia Clark of Mentor, Ohio. Additionally he is survived by 16 grandchildren: Matthew Johnson, Jeni and Jason Whittington, Mandy Johnson, Kristi Johnson, Annie Johnson, Melody Johnson, Matteo Marchette, Alexander Marchetti, Tyler Penrod, Logan Penrod, Joseph Penrod, Jesse Penrod, Levi Penrod, Grayson Penrod, Zachariah Penrod, and Lacey Penrod; and nieces and nephews: Jane and Scott, John and Katie, Julie and Mike, Ryan, Lindsay and Ray. Memorial Services will be celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 3:00 PM from First Family Baptist Church, 2790 Pulaski Highway, Columbia, Tennessee, with final services on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church, 852 Europe Bay Road, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the hands that cared for Harvey in hospice care for the last year and a half would be fitting: Hospice Compassus, 1412 Trotwood Ave, Columbia, TN 38401. Message from Harvey: Prepare yourselves. His promises are true. God cannot lie. Hope in eternal life. Hebrews 6:18-19
