Frankie Lucille Turner, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at NHC Columbia.
Born on July 31, 1943, in Rockville, Maryland, Frankie lived a life marked by warmth, independence, and a deep love for her family. She graduated high school at just 17, beginning her journey with a strong spirit and a heart full of compassion.
Frankie was a people person through and through—outgoing, kind, and able to make friends wherever she went. Yet she also cherished the quiet, rural life, spending her days in the countryside surrounded by the animals she lovingly raised, from dogs and cats to ducks and more. She tended to her property and animals alongside Mark, the love of her life for the past 43 years, Frankie found true happiness in the simple joys of country living and the beauty of her garden.
Her greatest pride and joy, however, was her family. She adored her children and grandchildren, always placing them at the center of her world. Whether she was offering words of encouragement, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, Frankie’s love was a constant and guiding force.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Frankie Lucille Turner will be remembered for her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A devoted mother, Frankie lovingly raised five children: Peggy (Craig) Holland, Angela (Mike) Pickett, Sherry J. Valdes, Joey (Michelle) Argentine, and Carlie Argentine (Tony Bennett). Her love and guidance extended through generations, and she took immense pride in her role as grandmother to Amber (Jake) Egnasher, Jessica Argentine, Travis (Heidi) Holland, Brook (David) Brown, Lisa (Luke) McKinnes, and Isabella (Clay) Welch. Her legacy continues in the lives of her eleven beloved great-grandchildren: Christian, Conner, Kandys, Scarlett, Violett, Rosalie, Annabelle, Owen, Tanner, Harper, and Willow.
