Eugenia Thompson

Eugenia “Jean” Thompson, age 80, entered into heaven on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at NHC in Pulaski, Tennessee.

Jean was born on February 16, 1942, to the late Eugene and Margaret Harper in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Jean never met a stranger. No matter where she went, she always left with a new friend. She could always light up a room and make her presence known unto all.

Jean had a deep love for the Lord. She went to study the bible in Mississippi where she would attend college. After, Jean spent many years working as a missionary in Florida to the Seminole Indians. Being an avid person of faith, Jean would attend weekly bible study with her parents. Even after meeting her husband, Carl, they both continued to go to these bible studies. Jean also loved to give people hugs and care for others. Anytime someone would try to leave without giving Jean a hug, she would always make them turn around and come give her a hug.

Jean has been reunited in heaven with her parents: Frank and Peggy; brothers: Eugene “Butch” Harper and Thomas Orin Harper; 2 nephews: Michael and Buddy Ashton; and beloved dog Rascal.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Carl Thompson; children: Tina (Wade) Stafford and Thomas Thompson; grandson: Robyn (Jamee) Thompson; sister: Cindy (Buddy) Ashton; sister in law: Helen Harper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
