Dwight Brock Olmstead passed away December 12th, 2011 in his home surrounded by people who love him. Dwight is described by his family as a man who loved to build things, whether it was the many hand made clocks that are displayed in his home or the large gazebo behind his house. Dwight loved his wife Cynthia with a passion loved to take her four-wheeling. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation working on the many Tennessee highways. Before he joined TDOT he served proudly in the United States Air Force. Mr. Olmstead is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Olmstead of Smyrna, One son: Kevin Olmstead of LaVergne; One Brother, Grady Sherri Olmstead of Antioch; Two Step-sons, Gary Marion Creson of Smyrna, Christopher Mandi Creson of Antioch. Cremation Society of Tennessee is assisting the family with the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cremationsocietyoftn.com.
