Obituary

Doris Ann Burkhardt passed away quietly and peacefully surrounded by Jim the Love of her life for over 60 years, along with her three loving children. Doris was a resident of Monterey, TN. She was born March 15, 1935 in Perrysburg, Ohio to the late Henry and Alice Frusher. Doris was described by her family as a “spit-fire Grandma”. They lovingly referred to her Spirit as Beautiful, Inside and out. She Loved to Garden and Cook. She was a Grandma and Mother to Many. Doris was a Member of St. Alfonse Catholic Church in Crossville, TN and Member of the Cumberland Plateau Antique Tractor Club. Doris is survived by her loving husband James F. Burkhardt; Two daughters: Victoria “Vicki” Burkhardt of Ponchatoula, LA and Laurie Burkhardt-Garman of Perrysburg, OH; One son: William Burkhardt of Monterey, TN; Three granddaughters: Tonya Anthony “AJ” Brownlow of Hammond, LA, Tory Keith Jacobs of Sylvania, OH, and Nicole Ross Muller of Gautier, MS; Two grandsons: Jeremy Holly Jacobs of Sylvania, OH, Cody Garman Of Waterville OH deceased and Anthony Baldini of Ponchatoula, LA; One great granddaughter: Carmen Brownlow of Hammond, LA; Two great grandsons: Aidan and Ethan Muller of Gautier, MS. Sister to Nancy Larry Grimm; Perrysburg OH. Sister In-law Sharon Burkhardt Williams; Perrysburg Oh. She will be greatly missed by her cuddle bug Harley her dog. In lieu of flowers please consider making love donations to the family to help defray the cost. A memorial service will be held at Saint Rose Church in Perrysburg, Ohio on Saturday, July 28th at 11 a.m. Burial will Follow at Saint Rose Cemetery. The family invites friends to partake of fellowship and food back at the church basement immediately following the burial. A memorial mass for friends and family in Tennessee will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, at St. Alphansus Church in Crossville with food and fellowship to follow.     I will always remember Aunt Doris. Everytime we came to visit she was warm and kind. The baseball games and horseshoes we played on the Ohio Farm were the best and hold dear childhood memories for me. To Uncle Jim, Vicki, Laurie, and Bill, I am sorry for your loss and will hope you all think of the good times with your mom, she was a wonderful person. Love, Cousin Tracy Burkhardt
