Danny Mills, 56, of Spring City, passed away peacefully at his home on July 22, 2026, in the place where he found his greatest comfort, peace, and happiness.

Danny was born on May 7, 1970, in Jackson, Tennessee, to Murray Michelson and Marie Babino, who placed him for adoption. He was lovingly adopted by Dewey and Rosetta Mills, whose love, guidance, and devotion helped shape the man he would become.

Home was Danny's sanctuary. It was there that he could escape into his artwork and express the creativity that had always been an important part of who he was. His artistic spirit was one of the many things that made him unique.

For much of his life, Danny worked as an over-the-road, long-haul truck driver. His career took him thousands of miles across the United States, allowing him to see countless cities, highways, landscapes, and communities. The open road became more than a job—it became an adventure and a way of life. Along the way, he collected a lifetime of stories and experiences that he enjoyed sharing with others.

Danny had a special gift for making connections. He never met a stranger—only a friend he had not yet met. Whether talking with someone at a truck stop, visiting with a neighbor, or spending time with family, Danny had an easygoing nature and genuine interest in people that made others feel comfortable around him. He loved to laugh, tell stories, and share the everyday moments of life.

Danny was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Dewey and Rosetta Mills, and his biological sister, Debroh Jenkins.

He leaves behind his beloved sons, Cullin Mills and Landon Mills; his brothers, Joe Michelson, Carol Babino, and John Curtis; his sisters, Rachel Fontaine and Christine McCarthy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Danny's journey may have come to an end, but the miles he traveled, the stories he told, the artwork he created, and the lives he touched will remain behind as pieces of his legacy.

He will be remembered for his warm heart, creative spirit, adventurous soul, love of the open road, and remarkable ability to make people feel like they belonged.

Though his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, those who loved Danny can find comfort in knowing that his life mattered. He was loved, he was known, and he will not be forgotten.

May he rest peacefully at home, wherever home may be, and may the road ahead carry him gently into eternity.
