Born on May 5, 1945, to the late Cyrus and Nadine Lightly, Carol’s life was characterized by an enduring spirit and an unwavering love for her family, friends, and the community she called home. Her remarkable journey in life saw her evolve into a successful business woman who owned and operated a charming candle store that began in downtown Franklin called The Kandle Kitchen of Franklin in  2001. Carol’s candles were a beacon of warmth and comfort to all who purchased them.

 

Carol had a deep affinity for animals, embracing all creatures great and small. She often shared her life with a menagerie of furry and feathered friends, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love for animals was infectious, and she inspired those around her to cherish and protect the beauty of the natural world.

 

Perhaps Carol’s most cherished role was that of a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and found immense joy in spending time with them. Games of twister, laughter-filled moments, and countless stories were shared between generations, creating precious memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.
