Jimmie Carol Farmer, of Hendersonville, TN was a loving and dedicated mother, daughter, and friend who went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, May 19, 2010 at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Centennial Medical Center. Carol worked hard and sacrificed to raise her two children who are so proud of her. She was born July 24, 1950 in Nashville, TN and was preceded in death by her father, Willard Mathews, and Candy, the dog she loved for 16 years. She is survived by her mother, Claudine Mathews of Hendersonville; son, Cris Desiree Farmer of Hendersonville; daughter, Dana Steve Effler of Murfreesboro; grandsons: Rob & Nick Effler; loving cousins, Sue Bill Gunn, Mary Jo Justice, Diane West, Gina Knox, Kevin Dunnebacke, Lori & Cameron Justice; best friends; Tammy Battenberg and Marie Blevins, and many other friends and patients she loved. Carol retired from Hendersonville Hospital worked for Dr. Anthony Dallas for almost 18 years. The family would like to thank the loving staff at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 3rd Floor at Centennial Hospital for their care and compassion. Private family ceremonies will honor Carol’s life.
