Obituary
Mrs. Carnetha Manookian, of Brentwood, died on her 91st birthday, February 28, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a native of Rock Island, TN and daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Allen Blankenship. She was a graduate of David Lipscomb College. After college, she moved to Washington DC to work. There she met Norman Manookian, and married him in the National Cathedral in 1942. She worked with him as a decorator from then on. In addition to her husband of over 60 years, she is survived by three sons: Walter Judy Manookian of Virginia, Edward Janet Manookian of Hendersonville, TN, and Gary Vickie Manookian of Brentwood, TN; and five grandchildren: Lisa, David, Adam, Brian, and Karen. Additionally, one brother survives: J. R. Blankenship of Huntsville, AL. The family will celebrate Mrs. Manookian’s life with services on Saturday, March 5 at the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ in Brentwood, TN. Arrangements under the direction of teh Cremation Society of Tennessee.
