Bruce Wayne
Paulson
July 6, 1947 – May 20, 2026
Bruce Wayne Paulson, 78, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Bruce was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose strength, kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for family touched all who knew him.
Bruce was born on July 6, 1947, to Violet and George Paulson in Harvey, ND. On August 19, 1995, he married the love of his life, Marsha Luster, and together they built a beautiful family filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Andy (Debra), with granddaughter Carol; Joyce; Marty (Icon); Eric (Misty); Jeremiah; Morgan; and Ashley. He is also survived by his brothers, Roger (Lubi) and Glenn (Katherine); his sister, Joyce (Robert) Arrestad; as well as several cherished nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will forever treasure his love and guidance.
Bruce proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country with honor in both Vietnam and Italy. After 23 years of dedicated service, Bruce retired from the Navy as Chief Boatswain’s mate, and he and Marsha settled in Culleoka to enjoy a quieter life together. Bruce fondly referred to Culleoka as “a little piece of heaven.” An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy and peace in nature, whether spending time outdoors, enjoying the beauty around him, or simply sharing stories with those he loved most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Violet and George Paulson; his beloved cousin, Scott; his brother-in-law, Trent Luster; and his mother- and father-in-law, Martha and Fred Luster.
Bruce will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his unwavering love of family, his faithful service to his country, and the warmth, wisdom, and compassion he shared with everyone around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
