Bertha L. Edgar

Bertha “Boots” L. Edgar of Steubenville, Ohio died July 7, 2013 in Franklin, Tennessee. She was born October 10, 1919 in Steubenville, Ohio. The daughter of the late James S. and Rena Maholm Edgar. She was also preceded in death by her husband John K. Edgar and two sisters Mrs. Dorothy Brannagan of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Ruth Tipton of Wintersville, Ohio. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Friendship Guild and the YWCA. She is survived by daughter Sally Burkhart of Knoxville, TN, son John K. Edgar Jr. of Franklin, TN, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetary later this Fall.
