Benjamin V. Phillips

Mr. Benjamin Vusel Phillips, age 48 passed away June 8, 2012 in his home. Benjamin was born July 1, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to Benjamin and Ruby Phillips. Benjamin served in the United States Military and after returning moved to Nashville, TN. He spent many years working for the Sumner County School systems as a teacher’s assistant for disabled children. Benjamin leaves behind his wife Michelle Phillips of Nashville; Two daughters: Jacqueline Phillips and Creasia Phillips; One son: Benjamin V. Phillips Jr.; One grandson: Byron Phillips; One granddaughter: Briley Jones; all of Nashville, TN; One sister: Angelia Rassoull; Two brothers: Byron Phillips and Terence Phillips; all of Cleveland, TN. Benjamin also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family. A Memorial service will be held Saturday June 16th at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, beginning at 4 pm. Cremation Society of Tennessee is in charge of the arrangements.
